First Port Renfrew School, 1918. Identification: Schoolhouse was built on a hill above the wharf, near Tom Baird's house. Edith Driver (Mrs. W.J. Millian) was the first full time schoolteacher. Classes had previously been held in a room in the hotel; pupils were the Baird children and the hotel cook's son.
